Heritage Show + Tell

Heritage Show + Tell is a chance for people passionate about heritage in Yorkshire to come together and share their work, get feedback on ideas and meet new collaborators. Everyone welcome: community heritage groups, freelancers, museum professionals, archivists, students and academics.
The next Heritage Show + Tell will be hosted by Leeds Museums and Galleries on Thursday 5 February 2015. Join us for an optional tour of Leeds Art Gallery at 4pm, followed by Heritage Show + Tell from 5pm to 7pm around the corner at Leeds City Museum.

5.00-7.00pm Heritage Show + Tell at the Museum (Thoresby Room)
We have six three-minute presentations followed by lots of opportunity to meet and mingle over a glass of wine. Speakers include:
Barbara Hahn (School of History, University of Leeds), What can the History of Technology add to Industrial Heritage?
Emma Burgham (Special Collections, University of Bradford), The Eleventh Hour: update on the University of Bradford’s Mitrinović Project
Alan Radford (Leeds Waits), Leeds Waits: the Official Civic Musicians 1530-1835
Nina Kane (Cast-Off Drama), Cast-Off Drama: Playing with Life-model Theatre in the Gallery Space
Morticia (MA Creative Practice student, Leeds College of Art), Gathering Trace: St George's Field and Victorian Death Culture as Inspiration
Lizzie Nolan and Sarah Hill (MA Art Gallery and Museum Studies, University of Leeds), The Individual Remains: Untold Stories of the First World War
Gabriella Palmano (Church Conservation Trust volunteer & School of History, University of Leeds), From Austen to Zola: locating literary landmarks for the Church Conservation Trust
