Museum Studies Now?

Museum Studies Now? was a CCIE funded project, running in Spring 2013.

This project aimed to bring together a wide range of stakeholders in museum, gallery and heritage education, including academics, students, policy advisors, policy makers, together with those in professional practice in the museum and heritage sector, to discuss and debate the continued relevance and applicability of museum studies further and higher education provision.

Museum Studies Now? opened up these debates against the background of current funding cuts and the diverse future requirements of the sector. It aimed to highlight a focused debate on museum studies as a possible case study for further consideration of the relationships between educational provision and other sectors of the economy.
