Public Art Project Officer job vacancy

Salary £31,342 to £37,394 (Grade 7)
Based within the Special Collections Team

This new post at the University of Leeds arises from the University’s new public art strategy, which sets out ambitions for a public art programme that connects a variety of University activities, including research, student experience, communications, fundraising, audience development and partnership building.

By the end of this project, the successful candidate will have:

  • Developed a proposal for a Public Art Research Institute
  • Documented recent and current public art activities within the University, and explored opportunities for future projects
  • Created a network of practitioners and researchers involved in public art activities within and connected to the University
  • Identified key research questions for the Institute in the context of public art networks in Yorkshire and beyond
  • Built on existing relationships to clarify a limited number of key partnerships, in order to lever funding
  • Developed a plan for funding the Institute’s activities
