Travelling Objects

Travelling Objects, funded through HEIF IV, was a research project that emerged out of the interests of the 18th & 19th Century Research Group in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies.

The project aimed to unite art historical research and museum and heritage studies. The project team, David Hill, Kerry Bristol, Valerie Mainz and Mark Westgarth, focused some discrete research activities on the various museum and archive collections held at the University of Leeds with the view of curating a virtual exhibition on the theme of objects that have ‘Travelled’ or signify ‘Travel’, both materially and metaphorically.
