Partners and funding
The programme has been supported by Arts Council England funding as part of Leeds Museums and Galleries National Partner Organisation status, in addition to sponsorship from Crown Fine Art for bespoke training in the commercial sector.
The programme has been developed using our experience and the skills and knowledge of:
- Abigail Harrison Moore, Professor of Art History and Museum Studies in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies. One of the initiators of the programme, Abigail designed the PG Cert in Art Gallery and Museum Studies programme that enables our trainees to gain a qualification from the traineeship;
- Jen Kaines, Head of Collection Services at the Royal Armouries (previously Collections Manager at Leeds Museums and Galleries and one of the initiators of the programme);
- Laura Bell, Director of Collections at the Royal Armouries and Visiting Research Fellow in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies;
- Yvonne Hardman, Interim Head of Leeds Museums and Galleries;
- Abigail Harrison Moore, Professor of Art History and Museum Studies in the School of Fine Art, History of Art and Cultural Studies. One of the initiators of the programme, Abigail designed the PG Cert in Art Gallery and Museum Studies programme that enables our trainees to gain a qualification from the traineeship.
...and the amazing registrar teams in both organisations.
